Welcome to the Aikido school of Porto,
Our school is dedicated to the teaching of Aikido in the Porto area.
The Aikido is a martial art created in Japan, in the decades from 1920 to 1960 by Master Morihei Ueshiba (Founder) who designed this discipline from their experience with other martial arts, among the main daito-ryu, kenjutsu and jojutsu . In Aikido, these three components are the taijutsu (technical body), the aiki ken (techniques of sword) and aiki jo (techniques of stick).
The Aikido follows the older, traditional costumes of the true BUDO.
With the practice of Aikido we seek not only develop the capabilities of the defense, but also establish an inner peace that enables avoid conflicting situations.
The technical line followed by the school is the Takemusu Aiki, initially created by master Morihiro Saito. The agents of training in our school have been trained by prof. Carlos Portas 5th Dan and Takeji Tomita Sensei 8 th Dan, founder of Takemusu Aiki Tomita Academy and master of international reference. |
